I have been dreaming of leading a Shamanic Journeying Circle, a safe and structured space where I can teach the Art of the Shamanic Journeying to those who want a deeper relationship with Great Spirit. Here it is. :) What is Shamanic Practice? It is the practice of Journeying into the Realm of Spirit to gather Medicine (messages, knowledge, wisdom) bringing this Medicine back to this Realm for the purpose of Healing, Guidance, and Creating Change. In our own lives, and the lives of others. Shamanic practice compliments all Cosmologies. It compliments all Spiritual Paths. We will explore different ways of Journeying, meeting and creating Relationships with our Spirit Allies & Compassionate Deities. We do this to bring Right Relationship into our own lives, and into our Relationship with the Sacred Mother...Earth. We do this to align our Sacred Truth, our True Essence with our actions here on Earth. I will teach safe Journeying protocols and provide a Sacred Container for this Good Work to happen in a Good Way. This is my responsibility to all of you. You will be expected to follow these basic Protocols for the well-being of the group. I will use the knowledge I have gained over 30 years of experience. I plan to teach those less experienced, and offer new Teachings to more experienced Folks. This is a Journeying Circle that will explore Somatic Teachings, it will explore Trance states and different ways to achieve them. The qualities needed for a beautiful flow and powerful effect include: Humility, Openness, Integrity (the willingness to follow protocol), Curiosity, Flexibility, and a willingness to learn. Practicality is also needed; we are on a Journey to assist ourselves & others, so the Medicine we gather must apply to our lives in concrete ways. We will generate power, learn how to apply our skills, and affect positive change. This is Good Medicine. Tools needed: A computer or phone with the Zoom App (please update it) ;) Privacy Eye or Head covering Drum and/or Rattle (I will be drumming & rattling in musician mode in Zoom, so you may choose to listen to the percussion I provide) Journal & Pen Smudge Medicines, a Candle and/or small Altar (we will be creating Sacred Space for our Good Work) Offerings (Tobacco, Herbs, Liquor, Food—our Ancestors & Spirit Allies love these) Blanket & Cushions Water & Snacks
